the best middle eastern food in town
Glad that I stopped by 2 weeks ago, the food was so yummy and cheap. the portions are big enough to eat there and take home the left-over. great place to eat in. the music is very soothing. it was a great experience. Staff, keep up with the good work!

I love Zad
When I visit my sister in Chicago, Zad is a definite stop for us. The hummus is the best I have had, ever. The Falafel are great as is the Baba Ghannouj. Normally I get the Red Lentil Soup, but the waitress recommended the Moroccan Harrira, which was excellent. There could be more veggie entrees, but the Tefaya Couscous is one of the best options on the menu.

Great place!!
I am delighted to find a place like ZAD, where you can get a full pakage, food, service, atmosphere and Price. Excellent food variety, from vegetarien to meat lovers. Thank you ZAD.

its all about the hummus
the best hummus i've ever had. the spicy, garlic green sauce is one of a kind. not much for atmosphere but they deliver-so nice

Tried it, very disappointing
This place is in our neighborhood, finally tried it. Phoned in order for pickup - 1 order babaghanouj, 1 kibbeh, 1 shawerma sandwich. Got there, the bill was $16.00, I was tired and didn't question it, should have been about $12.00. Got home, they had screwed up a simple order. Found 2 orders babghanouj, ONE greasy kibbeh (for $3.50?) and a small, not generous shawerma sandwich. The baba was too aggressive, spicy, the kibbeh was greasy and heavy, the shawerma was dry, tasteless, and not enough for a meal. Needless to say we won't be going back.

Let down by new owners
I used to eat here once or twice a week but lately the quality has been poor. This went from a great find to a great disappointment.

Downhill under new ownership
Zad used to be our favorite weekly dining spot but unfortunately it has plummeted under the new owners. The beef kabob has gone from buttery to stringy . The rice and vegetable portions have been cut in half. New owners are cutting costs and will lose their clientele. Sad for Zad!
