I've been a loyal, regular customer of Wing Hoe for thirty years - and have always sung their praises. The quality was consistent and there was a warm, homey vibe to the place. Not anymore. I think I can trace the decline to the change of management. Although I've been told that the original owner/manager still owns the premises, apparently he leases the actual restaurant to the current manager(s), and they clearly have a very different management style/philosophy. The overall quality of the food is still reasonably good, but when something doesn't taste/smell right and you bring it to their attention, the response ranges from suspicion (bordering on accusatory) to downright rude. When food is 'off' or in anyway sub-par,the proper response is to apologize to the customer - and offer either a replacement and/or take the item off the bill. Not here, not anymore. This is the NEW Wing Hoe, and it's just not the same. Add to this their ever-increasing prices (which have now surpassed virtually all other chinese restaurants in the area), I doubt we'll be back. Goodbye, old friend..

Been eating here since I had friends introduce me to it 5 years ago. Always great food and they are fast with the service and responding to things. Even delivery service is fast and it arrives hot. Food is easily one of the best, if not the best Chinese on the north side. Well worth visiting.

The menu is varied enough that my vegetarian friends can join me. Their egg rolls are out of this world Remind me of when the only kind of Chinese cooking in Chicago was Cantonese. Their Won Ton soup is splendid and they have all kinds of noodles. I recommend their moo shu vegetable and the duck.
