The best
I can't say enough good things about this place. The food is to die for. I miss my Huevos Rancheros my way!I just adore the West Egg Cafe! Perfect for us egg lovers

Excellent choice for affordable breakfast
My wife and I found the service at West Egg Cafe to be excellent. We had breakfast here 4x in 5 days, always seated immediately, service was excellent, food quality was very very good, and we were satisfied with the prices. We would recommend this restaurant to our friends and family, and to anyone looking for excellent quality at good prices.

Great way to start your day!
My husband and I were recently in Chicago and stayed at the Doubletree across the street. We were so happy to find this place. The service was great, the food was excellent, the coffee was hot. We made "happy plates". We went the West Egg Cafe every morning we were in Chicago. What a great way to start the day!

Best Chicago breakfast
West Egg cafe is a fabulous place. Food is excellent, prices are reasonable, service is spotless. Coffee is actually NOT expensive, since you get an entire pot for less than $3. We had a good variety from their menu, and everything was flavorful and fresh--pancakes, a frittata, an omelette, and a breafast burrito. Potatoes are surprisingly good with a spicy kick to them. If you're in Chicago, this is the place for breakfast, for sure.

Not recomended
I will never go back for any meal there. I had breakfast this morning at West Egg and I have never tasted such a blend food. There was no seasoning and coffe is just tastless. I can't believe they charge $2.50 for their coffee! They need to change their cook or lower their price!

A good start to a day downtown.
West Egg Cafe is a great place to fuel up for a busy day downtown. The portion are generous and the food is delicious. I especially like the wheat germ, blue berry pancakes, mushroom / cheddar burger and when I'm eating healthy Carl's Cool Creation. On the downside, there is a bit of a wait on the weekends but it is worth the time. The service is excellent. Ask for Rudy because he is the best.
