Subpar, bad service
This place should be put out of business. While we had nice wait staff and prompt service, the food was mediocre. However, we were enjoying ourselves and even ordered a bottle of Moet, their best bubbly. After paying our check for over $200! (for 2 people) a manager approached our table and asked us to leave as he had 16 people waiting and wanted our table. We were finishing our drinks and couldn't believe what we heard. We will never return and recommend that anyone who thinks this sushi is decent to keep trying other places and compare. The atmosphere is cool, but the more you learn about sushi, the more you will realize this place is sub par. And there is no excuse for terrible customer service.

good food, very poor etiquette
We came here on a Saturday because of a friend's recommendation for a nice place to go for my roommate's birthday. The service and food were good and we thanked the waitress for taking care of us. Then, as we were getting ready to walk out the door, one of staff members told us our party of eight was loud & inappropriate the entire time and literally gave the birthday girl a shove out the door and said, "It's time for you to leave now." We are so disappointed that this is the way we were treated for celebrating a birthday.

best sushi in chicago
wakamono is hands down the best and freshest sushi restaurant that i have been to in chicago (and i've been to several.) everyone i've recommended this restaurant to has fallen in love with it. the trio roll, oedipus roll, and kani chung roll are out of this world, as are the pork/shirmp ravioli and tuna dip.

yum
I really do love this place. The Sushi is outstandingly fresh - so much so that I usually opt for the sashimi chef's choice. The spicy Miso soup is unbelieveable. The best Sushi in the neighborhood - and the space is very hip and minimal. I love it.

Good Food, Poor Service
The food is very good, but the service is very poor. One server for the entire restauraunt is inadequate.
