Best Italian in Town
My favorite Chicken Parmesan was made by FEBO's on Western ("Famous for Nothing"). Since this place has closed, I found that a few restaurants in Little Italy did a decent job with Chicken Parmesan but still no FEBO's. That is until I tried Volare in the Western Suburbs between Oakbrook & Yorktown on Meyers Road. We went for a late lunch. I ordered Chicken Parm with gnocci and Bolognese sauce. I will say that the combination of the flavors was the best that I've had since FEBO's. The Pasta Fagioli soup was incredible, bread was great too. dessert was exceptional and we went for a late Lunch so the pricing was discounted. Can't wait to return and relive the experience. I only regret that I waited so long to try Volare but am thrilled that I did!

Best Italian Food Volare Chicago
Volare Ristorante is the Best Italian Food restaurant in Chicago. I have been to Volare Chicago at least once a month for the past 18 months. Every dish that I have tried at Volare has been excellent. I have never had even one bad service experience at Volare. The soups and salads are amazing and cheaper than going to a Panera Bread for lunch or dinner. Volare's Chef cooks with Old World Italian Charm but his Flavor and freshness in every dish makes you fall in love with each bite. I have read bad reviews about many restaurants but Volare is a genuine good place to dine in for the Best italian Food in Chicago.

Best Italian
There are two very good Italian restaurants in Chicago, and this is one of them. Ratings in all catagories is high. Martinis are outstanding. They are also very consistant in their food. No ups and downs.

Volare!
I was there at the end of October, 2008. Service was great and the food was exceptional. Absolutely the best eggplant parmegian I have ever had. You can actually taste and sense the eggplant! Most cooks overwhelm the whole thing with powerful sauces. This was spicy and tasty but not overwhelming to the point that it was the whole experience. Penne Arabbiata was also exceptional and the portions are more than enough for a 200 lb man. Saw Angus and Malcolm Young eating lunch there when I was there... they also seemed to be enjoying their meals quite a bit, though I didn't ask them if they would endorse the place. My guess is they would.. In downtown Chicago, you can eat at Volare, CND Gyro and Mary's Cafe, all next to each other... and have some of the best meals at the best prices without having to wander all over the place! Take it from a guy who loves to eat and has eaten thousands and thousands of meals in his life... this is great food! I would compare it to restaurants on The Hill in St Louis.

Reservations don't matter!
My boyfriend and I went to Volare for our anniversary last week. Due to it being a Friday night, we made reservations for 7:30. We got there and quite honestly, the hostess was rude. She told us to sit at the bar and that our table would be ready in about 5 minutes! HA! Literally, an hour later, we were finally seated (and this was after checking in every 20 minutes or so) - what's the point of making a reservation?? To add salt to our wounds, we were sat at a table right next to the crowded bar and right next to the very narrow aisle that all of the waitstaff have to go through with the food! Bottom line, it was loud and uncomfortable and if we made a point to make reservations, we should have been sat in the dining room (we didn't just walk right in). Normally, we're not seat snobs, but had we known what the bar table would have been like, we would have said something right away. Now, on to the food and our waiter, Jesus - He was AWESOME! And the food was AWESOME! But if we ever go back, it's definitely during the week or during their non-busier times.
