Decent food, subpar service and staff

I have been here 3 times and the food was alright. The service has gotten progressively worse to the point that last time I was there I waited 10 minutes after being seated to get water and after 15 minutes we left without a waiter coming to our table. I have talked to other people that have had similar experiences.

    Pleasently suprised

While we almost dismissed this restaraunt in a sea or places on Division, I was extremely impressed with Via Carducci. First time going was a quiet Sunday afternoon, ordered wine, and enjoyed a long meal. The pasta with the vaious seafoods and spicy sauce was amazing. I have been back two more times with out of town relatives and friends and they all enjoyed both their food and experiance. I highly recommend this restaraunt, whether it is to entertain friends and family or to enjoy a romantic meal in the rustic and extremely welcoming interior.

    What's the big deal?

Instantly mobbed, this place ojn the Dicvision Ave. strip is okay, I guess. Convenient if you live nearby, but a destination? No way. The place can not handle the crowds. All we heard the whole night was apologies from servers and bussers. I'm glad they're apologizing, but I don't wanna eat someplace where I'm owed apologies. That said, the food is fine.
