my experience in veranda
My fiance and i were looking for a restaurant to host our engagment party. A friend of mine told me about Veranda restaurant and decided to give it try. We went on a friday night and the place was packed. The restaurant was hosting a traditional Greek music event and the atmosphere was very friendly that made us sit for a drink at the bar!I had the bikini martini and it was out of this world!and the price was very reasonable so we had a couple of more enjoying the music even though it was Greek to us!!!We had a talk w the manager about our party and she offered us some of the delicious appetizers as well as some combination plates, special offers for greater parties! After trying their food and discussing the price it met our bugget and eventually we booked the party for 75 guests. December 18 we got engaged at Veranda and it the best experience we will never forget! The food was great and even my mother in law who is very picky liked the touch of the complimentary champegne that was given to us by management!Thank you for making our day so special

Rooftop Oasis
Had dinner w/ friends here last night & it was a wonderful spot! Once you went out on the rooftop it was filled w/ exoctic flowers, lights, and felt like you were transformed to the tropics. Good service...great food...relaxing atmosphere.

The Traditional Greek Tavern Experience
My wife and I have been going there since it opened... The restaurant is amazing and super clean. The drinks are exxcellent and the servers are very attentive. It is busiest during warm weather when the beautiful upstairs Deck is open. The deck is filled with interesting plants, trees, and homegrown produce used in the kitchen! For the earlier poster, traditional greek kabobs are thin pork that has been marinated at least 24 hours and they also drizzle it with additonal olive oil and lemon juice after grilling. The fat on the kabob is required to baste the meat and add flavor. That's how Souvlaki has been made in Greece for thousands of years. Perhaps, you need to be a more informed foodie. For those trying the restaurant for the first time any of the meats are an excellent choice though the kabobs and steak are my favorites. Try the greek fries! Also, the traditional greek dishes and the tzatziki sauce are made in house and are delicious!!

Chopped Steak Excellence
The food was excellent. The chopped steak was moist and cooked exactly as ordered. The lamb chops were outstanding. I recommend highly.

A big disappointment
My husband and I went here for dinner last night and should have walked out when we saw only one other table occupied. To begin with the "French bread" had the consistency and taste of Wonder bread. My salad was lettuce thrown on a plate with two pieces of unripe tomato with the portion where the stem connects intact. The blue cheese salad dressing tasted like mayonnaise with the slightest hint of cheese taste. Moving on, my entree, the filet kabob was thin, large slices of unidentifiable meat, tough, fatty with lots of grizzle. The rice pilaf was fine. My husband had the half slab ribs with barbecue chicken breast. Both the ribs and the chicken breast were covered in so much barbecue sauce you had to remove most of it before attempting to eat it. There was nothing good about this place except our server who was a lovely young lady with only one table to serve, ours, at 8pm on a Friday night.
