awesome value good food

hello i know you read reviews. people say this place and that place have good food look here this place uncle johns bbq, is unique i am telling you what god love its the bomb you do not have to trust me check it out.

I hav Been going here for a year,saw it on hungry hound,ch.7 news. Food is great most of time,it super busy Friday&Saturdays. I live in far southern suburbs, hour away. I get upset bcause they don't take phone-in orders,lines are around corner at times. I'm very picky bout food, rib tips are usually fresh&succulent&meaty. Not tuff or fatty or soakd in sauce. I get sauce on side, meat don't need it.Turkey parts are fresh too, cookd well. He uses real red wood in large grill u can watch him if u like.its hard 4me 2 find decent rib houses or good fast food joints, I'm used to cookn my own food if I want good food. Glad I found this place. Uncle john is great purchase good food that he would bbque @his home.it ain't perfect or well lit building, u can't eat inside. U will get courteous treatment from cashiers&othr staff membrs who will remember u&ur normal order if u frequent place often. Uncle john acknowledge mistakes&correct them.trust me there are no beter barbque spots on the southside now.go bfore every1 get off work, try it on a weekday if u don't wanna wait

Normally Papa John's rib tips are usually great, but this day the rib tips were spoiled, and stall with lots of barbque sauce to cover it up. I was highly disappointed because I took the bus there from a far away location and when I got home and found out the rib tips were stall and spoiled I could not do anything.

RIB TIPS! Meaty, tender, flavorfull. Hot links are of Uncle John's own recipe, and they're excellent. Nice fried chicken wings too. But go for the RIB TIPS!

I grew up on the south side and never thought that finding good barbeque in such a vast area would be a challenge. Then I ran across this place and all I can say is yummy. They offered the best variety of seasoned meat that I have had in a long time. Small storefront, but big in taste and affordable. And a variety of things to choose. The service was fast and curtious-- feels just like family.

Saw this place on a feature they did on WGN Ch. 9 one day..and just the way the food LOOKED I had to stop in.. Keep in mind, this is a local joint..it's not very big..no frills at all--just good food. For me, I had the Rib tips-Hot Links combo..Tips were ok (I've had better--check out Hillery's Ribs in North Chicago), but the Hot Links were ON FIYAH!!!! Man, the Links were TIGHT. They also give you a good amount of food as well. They also keep it hood with the white bread and french fries on the bottom.. The sauce was solid as well, good mix of tangy and sweet.. Like I said, it's a local joint, so your wait for the food will be somewhat long..and since they were on tv, they now have lines that are long and out the door. But if you have time to spare, I would definitely check them out--especially for the Hot Links..
