Uncle Joe's

Don't recall how I found out about Uncle Joe's. But hen I did it was on Stoney Island. I travelled from W. Suburbs to get it. The wait was ALWAY for long, but I waited. I'd only ordered wings for the longest time. A friend went once and ordered Jerk catfish; she raved about it. I followed them to the 47th location. During a lunch break I went in to sit sown for a dinner and ordered wings to go. Honestly the dinner was good BUT I think it would have been better had it been freshly prepared. Seems as if it had been warmed up. Customer service is NOT all that good never has been. But I love those wings, although I think the wings are a little to costly. I'm going out there again and sit down to see if there is a difference in food & service after 3. Oh, let me add that I've been to the one in Hyde Park and to me they're not as good as the one on 47th. BBS w/ an updated review.

The people who work at this place, as far as I am concerned, need to sharpen their customer serice skills. I have never eaten in but have placed telephone orders numerous time. Each and everytime there is something wrong with my order. I don't know why I continue to give them my business. I have gotten to where I wont spend my money there; I only eat there when treated. I have purchased jerk dinner and don't recieve jerk sauce; I have gotten chicken that was dried out to the point it had to be thrown out; as well as things missing from order. When I call to make staff aware its never an apology just excuses. Never can we make it right. One time of many that the jerk sauce was missing I was told that it was so crowded that it just slipped someone's mind. Customer satisfaction doesnt seem to be a priorty.

We went to Uncle Joe's Thursday. Service was decent but they restaurant was lacking. They did not have any chicken wings which was what I wanted. The beans/rice were very gummy, the mac and cheese did not seem to be freshly made. I ordered a soda of the ones they had available. Supposed to be a can pop, served without the can and they did not have any straws. Things like this make me change my mind about going back and I shall pass the word. I did go to Joe's twice before (prior two years) and the food was much better. The tasting has definitely gone down.

Great ambience. Good street view. Clean. Good vibe. Good,fresh food, always hot, right off grill. service somewhat slow, but servers were very friendly. Need more servers. Overall, great restaurant and addition to Bronzeville. hopefully, a drink menu will be added soon.

Went to Uncle Joe's with some of my family and first I must say the atmosphere was great now the food was the bomb and the service was excellent that's the type of restaurant I like to deal with good food, good atmosphere, and great service (two thumbs up)

The curry chicken and jerk chicken are really good. Also, Uncle Joe's on 47th has a wonderful relaxed and sophisticated atmosphere.

Iwent to Uncle Joes today on 47th Street for the first time today. I really didn't know what I wanted, but I said let be see what the place is all about. I'm really impressed, the food is gooda as usual and that's at all their resturant. I was blown away my the atmosphere of the place, so warm, relaxing and cozy. I will be going again to sit in and eat. I will recommend to my friends and family.
