Not what I expected.
I'd visited the location on 81st & Cottage Grove and thought the food would be similiar. I was terribly disappointed. I live less than a mile from this location and bypass it when I want authentic tasting Caribbean food. This IS NOT it! Don't waste your time.

Great Food
The food is great. Reminded me of being on the island. I loved the great smoked taste and the wonderful ripened plantain. All were jerked/grilled to perfection.

Great food...
I had a favorite Jerk restaurant before I ate at Uncle Joe's, so I was bit skeptical. I want you all to know that Uncle Joe's wiped out the competition as far as I'm concerned. I had the estroviched catfish dinner and it was delightful. Seasoned to perfectioned and dressed with what I call "pickled onions"...tthe cabbage, the plantains & rice and peas...YUM!!!!! It was so good, I am going back today....I highly recommend this place to carribean food lovers everywhere. FANTASTIC to the pallette.
