Waited 20 mins to be seated. Placed order for multiple traditional Udupi dishes. Waited another 30 mins to receive all the dishes that had been ordered. Our impression was that the kitchen & wait staff were absolutely disorganized, based on how they cleared tables and served customers before and after us. Staff should have been trained BEFORE, not while cooking/serving customers! Food did not taste like authentic Udupi food at all, but much more like hastily prepared hot/spicy Chennai stuff. In all fairness to the establishment, the dosas (alone) were crisp and tasted great, but that is about it; the potato filling for the masala dosas or the items in the Thali were no where near what is typically served at Udupi restaurants in India. Table and toilet hygenie were totally lacking and unacceptable. Management (not wait staff) appeared very defensive. Customer beware!

As a South Indian, I can vouch that this place is authentic. As you might guess from the name, the dosas and sambar have a distinct Mysore taste (not Tamil Nadu or Kerala). My parents who visited from India also thought it was authentic. Don't bother with the North Indian dishes - they're terrible. But the dosais are great. The vadais used to be good but lately they haven't been serving them fresh. The thali is nothing to write home about... For years now I have kept going back to Udupi to fulfill my masala dosai cravings! Don't expect the waiters to tell you what's what on the menu... this is a restaurant that isn't designed for people who are new to South Indian food. Do your research before you go... don't go there and ask for naan, or worse, for tandoori chicken. It is neither South Indian nor vegetarian! Order one of the dosais or idli (though the latter is not universally appealing).

Great, but extremely hot vegetarian food. Very clean & speedy service.
