I've had better Italian out of a can. The atomsphere is non-existent.

My family has been going to Tufano's for 40+ years. The food is traditional, flavorful, authentic and a great value. My favorites are the antipasto salad, lemon chicken, spaghetti with olive oil and garlic, eggplant parm, and the pork chops. Great little glasses of wine. The best in Chicago!

We have been dining at Tufano's for over 20 years. I think the food is spectacular and we have never had a bad meal. You get huge portions for a very good price. If you have not eaten at Tufano's, I would highly suggest trying it out.

The food at Tufano's was marginal. I ordered the Veal Marsala, it was just Veal and a lot of mushrooms with no flavor. My friend ordered the Chicken Lemon, same story, a lot of angel hair pasta and overcooked chicken that did not taste like lemon. No Credit Cards? Amazing, it is 2007 ! In the winter, I would not want to take the walk from the restaurant to a nearby ATM. They do not advertise they dont accept CC. $55 for 2, entrees, 1 salad, 2 glasses of wine, would never go back.

Took my 2 teenage kids to Tufano's for dinner on a Saturday night. As you might guess, kids these days are picky eaters. None the less, my kids thoroughly enjoyed their dinner selections, as did I. Watch the "cash only" - I had to run to a local ATM to get cash to pay the bill. Prices are very reasonable in the market. We are going back soon!

First time I had the pleasure of dining at Tufanos it was great! The veal marsala was perfect and our server,Terese was the best.

This establishment if one of THE best in the region. We have been dining in this restaurant for over 20 years and have NEVER had a bad meal. Make sure to try the Tufano Special salad and their roasted garlic in olive oil. The roasted garlic is not on the chalkboard (where they post their menu), but once you try it, you'll request it every time you visit. Their fried calamari is light, never overcooked and served with a scrumptous cocktail sauce. The steamed clams are delicious, don't pass those up either. Get their early on Friday to order them as they sometimes are sold out later in early evening. Highly recommend the lemon chicken or Chicken Picante. The Chicken Picante is divine, along with the Steak Vesuvio and Mussels with angel hair. Very generous portions, inexpensive and fun!!! You won't be disappointed.
