I live just around the corner from this little establishment and let my tell you ive been going there for 9 years amazing never one bad meal whatsoever i tell everyone about this place

I have been a fan for 17 years. I started going to their earlier restaurant called My Choice. The food is always excellent and consistent. I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal at this place. I now live in the northwest suburbs and will eat at Thong Thai whenever I'm in the city. My favorite is the shrimp curry and chicken curry. It's wonderful! The curry is an actual sauce and not a soup like you see in most Thai restaurants. However, they do offer soups for those who like curry in soup form. Soups are great too. I highly recommend trying this place not for the ambiance but for the great food.

We've been going to this far northwest Chicago thai restaurant for 5 years now... and few things have changed. Excellent food.. panang, paid thai, yellow curry, satay, lardnar, spring rolls, etc. Unexpectedly amazing in fact.. .However the service is lackluster. The other reviewers must have encountered someone else because the owner is an unpleasant and often rude man. His wife however (who does the cooking) is quite the contrary and always a pleasure to encounter. That said... the food is so outstanding - it's worth the dismal setting and unwelcoming owner.

I have been a customer for years, prior to this location. The owner is pleasant and the food is wonderful! An exceptional value for the price.

Been in the area for three years now, and we hit up Thong Thai about once a month or so. It's dependably great, not too expensive and I've grown to love the owner, though we've never said a dozen words to one another. The Pad Siew is tremendous, the Satay is a dream. It's really a surprisingly great experience every time.

The Pad Thai is fabulous and I just love their spring rolls and Thai Tea. I've never had anything here that wasn't well prepared and tasty. This restaurant used to be called My Thai and was located at Central/Foster/Northwest Highway. The cook is purportedly a master chef. The atmosphere is a bit compromised as the restaurant is casual and small, but the absolutely delicious food makes up for it.

You must try this restaurant. It's more like a family style where you can relax and enjoy the good for a very less $$$. The owner also very nice to the customer. He is a one man show and try to give the best service to customers. You must try their food!
