    Great Food!

I've been a few times already and I love this place! Great Pre-Bulls or Pre-Blackhawks place for food and drinks. The menu is creative and the food is outstanding! The service could be a tad faster (especially deliverying the tasty brews) but all in all this has to be my favorite new restaurant in the city. Hands down.

    Great place

Really cool room, somewhat conversationally challenged due to the noise, but very cool beer hall feel. Make a reservation for one of the booths. The food, as it is at all Kahan's restaurants, is superb. The Malpec and Kumamoto oysters were fresh, sweet and delicious. The proscuitto plate was expensive, but showed the differences in taste and texture to 3 different styles of proscuittos. I could eat the frites with the fried eggs and the pork rinds everyday, seriously, everyday...that good. Ask to have them pair your food with a beer and they will really surprise you. Only knock against them is the service. I think our waitress had three tables, yet we waited for 20 minutes for our first round of drinks after ordering them and then returned to take the order again saying she lost the order? I think they wil work the service kinks out soon as this is only teir first month of business. I recommend it highly!

    Fullness of flavor

We had a wonderful evening at Publican. The service and food were very enjoyable. The wine list was not extensive, but very affordable. Bravo.

    Are you serious?

This place is unbelievable - bad that is. Even with reservations, it takes hours to get a table. No-one seems to know what is going on. Good luck in understanding the menu - there is no personal service what so ever. An exercise in frustration, cool concept - failure in every-way in terms of execution. I'd rather go to the dentist.
