Come On! Get It A Try!

Two of us went during the week for lunch. Immediately greeted and seated, very friendly atmosphere. Ordered the steak sandwich which was fantastic. The bread was even amanzing! Tomato basil soup superb, and the lemon bar for dessert was the absolute best! The service was excellent and caring. Give this new place a try, you will not be disappointed.

    Good and bad

I was excited to try this new place in the neighborhood. It was very busy on a weeknight when we arrived, so there was a bit of a wait. Figured it must be good then! Just a run down of everything Lobster brandade- very tasty, the garlic bread/chips was rather bland and actually brought down the flavor of the dip. Houseburger- Ok $12 for a burger it better be good. It was average, what was irritating was the burnt buns, not on mine, but on everyone who had a burger at our table. What the??? it totally off set the flavor of the burger, very disappointed. It took so long and our waiter was so nice I didn't have the heart (or time) to complain. Good fries. Chicken thighs with sausage- tasty, but given the sausage is already so fatty, why not use a higher quality and healthier meat like breast? Gorgonzola polenta- WINNER!!! Hands down awesome!!! Roasted garlic risotto- also delicious, not overly garlic, creamy, tasty, great texture. The vegetarian dishes were delicious, the meat-based dishes... I think the chef/owner is a vegetarian, maybe he's also trying to turn his customers into vegetarians as well! If I was to go back, I would order the risotto and polenta, but that's it. I had high hopes for this bistro. Not sure why the menu wasn't better given a well established chef.
