The Boiler Room

It was late night, and my husband and I needed food, but really didn't want your usual bar fare. So I had remember the Red Eye article about this place and went to give it a shot. The atmosphere is overwhelming and a little confusing. The booths made of the packing straps you would see at an airport. We sat down and a waitress took our beer order... then returned with the bottles, but rather warm pint glasses. (not so good)We decided on the purist (margharita), and a slice of pepperoni, with a spring salad to accompany. Within about 20-25 min the food arrived, piping hot. It was delicious! The margharita had fresh toppings, and balsamic vinegar drizzled all over and the pepperoni had fresh thyme sprinkled on it. Everything tasted so fresh and light, I could have eaten an entire pizza myself. Not to mention the crust was a perfect combo of crisp and soft. Divine! Unfortunately my salad came with only half the ingredients I ordered, so I had to get a side with all the rest of the stuff to mix myself. But once done, it too was tasty. Overall, an ok dining experience, but the food more than made up for it. Next time, I'll do carryout. TiP: Don't sit at the booth next to the mens room. Unfortunately when they open the door to relieve themselves, they show you a lot more than you paid for!
