best thai on the north side!!
i've been living in gastronomically challenged albany pk hood for 8yrs but the bright spot in a land of bad mex & chinese food is thai valley. there is hope for good food in this area yet!!

The best shrimp fried rice in the world
My cousin introduced me to Thai Valley 20 years ago when they had the old location.I have travelled around the world and had eaten in some of the best Thai restaurants in the world but the shrimp fried rice here is clearly the best.I had tried many times to replicate the flavor of this dish at home but even with culinary training,I could never get it done.The other dish that is exemplary is the chicken cashew.When other Thai restaurants steam their shrimp shumai,Thai Valley deep fries it to perfection.The server is effecient,polite and remembers guests.The owner is extremely friendly as well.I remained a guest here for 20 years because I know that I will never be disappointed.

Absolutely Amazing!
I have been to more than 10 different Thai restaurants in Chicago, and this is, by far, the best Thai place. I eat here ALL the time (at least once a week). The service is great, the food is perfectly delicious, and the price is extremely reasonable (especially the lunch specials!). I would recommend it anyone and everyone, really.

Great place to ear Thai
I have benn living in the area for 25 years and I love Thai Valley. I have been going there for years i even had friends get hooked to the restaurant. I love the people and especially the food. My cousin moved to Burbank Il and he still drives from 79th and Cicero to get the delicious food. If you are ever around Wilson and Kedzie you have to try it you will fall in love. :-)

Service seriously lacking
I love the food here, but the service is so bad that I try to avoid eating in the restaurant. Instead, I order carry-out or have it delivered.
