I used to be a regular customer at Thai 55. They have some of the best curry in Hyde Park and I often ordered from them, though never dined in. A few weeks ago I placed an order online, my usual red curry, yellow curry for my girlfriend and two bubble teas. After waiting an hour I called them and they said they had never received the order. We then had to wait another 45 minutes until our order got to the apartment. Not only were our dinners late, but the bubble teas had spilled everywhere. Tonight we phoned in an order at 6 o'clock and we were told that our order would be there in half an hour. After waiting an hour, we called to see where our dinners were and the person on the phone said that our dinners had left the restaurant over 30 minutes ago and should be arriving soon. After waiting another half hour, we still had not gotten our dinners and called again. The lady on the phone said that she would try to get a hold of the driver and eventually did. He called and asked what our address was. I will never order from Thai 55 again, seeing how this is a continuing problem. I am very disappointed in the service of this restaurant, especially when the food and bubble teas are so good.

Was visiting Chicago and this was walking distance to the apt I was staying. That's the ONLY good thing I can say about the place. The Tom Yum soup was not good, and the Drunken Noodle was very poorly mixed, so that all the taste was in the noodles and those were all on the bottom.

Thai 55 is a gem on 55th! A friendly and welcoming place, where friends can sit over a great meal at a great price without feeling pressured to move on. The cooks are accommodating too, willing to cater for particular tastes which is an added bonus. I'll miss it when I move on from Hyde Park.

Of all the Thai restaurants on 55th Street, Thai 55 is the best. Affordable and delectable!

Thai 55 has very good customer service. The delivery is very quick and the value is decent. I enjoyed my order and will definitely be ordering from them again.

There are a lot of good Thai restaurants in Hyde Park. Thai 55 is among them...it has quick,fresh delivery & is really reasonably priced for the portion. They always make our dishes with the perfect spice to our liking, so that is why we shoose them over the others.
