A LOT of fun!
The dining room was busy with couples, groups of friends, families and birthday parties on the night we went. This made for a wonderfull, buzzy atmosphere. Our waitress, Norma C, was great from start to finish; as were the other staff, refilling our water glasses, removing dirty plates and bringing new cutlery without being asked. Even the manager stopped by our table to ask how we were enjoying ourselves. There's such a plentiful choice on the salad bar it's easy to get carried away. My tip would be to start with the main meats then get yourself some veggies from the bar as accompaniments. The cheese bread, mashed potatoes and caramelized bananas brought to the table are delicious. The gauchos moved swiftly around the dining room yet always noticed whether or not we were ready for more. We had to stop for a rest a couple of times as there's so much. Norma enquired whether there was any meat in particular we'd like to have more of and let the gauchos know - what great service! This really is a meat eaters paradise - Fillet Mignon, sausage, beef ribs, sirloin, pork, chicken wrapped in bacon, leg of lamb...the list goes on. Surprisingly, vegetarians are also well catered for. Unsurprisingly, we had no room for dessert! The churrascaria experience is well worth trying and I'd highly recommend Texas de Brazil.

Be sure to go there hungry!
My husband and I had a great evening here last week. We paid around $45 each (exc. taxes, tips & dessert). The quality of food was fantastic. There was such a huge choice of delicious starter/salad items to choose from it was very easy to get carried away and fill up on those! Wonderful cheese bread, mashed potatoes & cinnamon banana sides were brought to the table. My only criticism is that I have to agree with the previous reviewer that some of the meat was a little oversalted; however the choice and cuts were excellent. The service was outstanding from both the wait staff and gauchos. The dining room was a lovely setting for a leisurely meal. Watching the 'aerial wine artist' i.e. the woman in a harness picking bottles of wine from the shelves was a weird novelty! This place is great for everyone; couples, families (if I remember rightly children under 6 eat free, older are half price) or groups. The atmosphere makes it fun for everyone without being tacky. We'll certainly go back when we return Chicago.

Good food, good service, good atmosphere
The resturant looks great! The service was good. The food was good, but the meat was a bit saltier that I would have liked and there was no manjoca.
