I disagree with Robert's review. The homemade pasta is fabulous and the pre-fix is worth every penny. I always leave full and happy. If you are looking to get in and out, this is the wrong place for you. Great food, great service and always worth going.

worst dining experience of my life - the staff was rude and totally acted as if they were doing us a favor by allowing us to eat there - we waited almost an hour for our first course, then after another 30 minutes when we had not been served our second course we decided to leave and order a pizza - and the funniest part is that the manager yelled at us - good food (if and when they actually serve you) but not worth being treated so poorly

I'm sure people dock terragusto in the value category because of the price, but for what you receive it's completely worth it. They use all fresh ingredients and change their menu according to what's in season. I've been twice and if I could afford it I'd go every week. It's unbelievable. If you walk by in the afternoon they are making the pasta by hand right in the front window. Amazing. Perfect place for your next special occasion.

Came with a bachelorette party of 15 ladies...they couldn't have been more welcoming. We did family style (which usually isn't great for Italian dining) and the food was EXCELLENT. This is great for small or large groups. Fresh, delicious and tasty food!

Really home made pasta, the baked polenta rocks and the Brasato was the best piece of lamb ever. Service was great but the atmosphere is somewhat lacking and the prices a bit steep but I would go again. Make sure you check their website for the Menu as it changes often.

Al forno is probably the best pasta I've had in Chicago. But for four peopleat a BYOB, a $220 bill is pretty steep. I still highly recommend it.

Lived on the Gold Coast for the last 6 years and grew accostomed to Friday nights at the Spiaggia Cafe, but very happy to have found a new spot closer to home without the extravagent Tony Mantuano markup. Food as good or better across the board, BYO without corkage saves tons of money and two blocks from home - what more could I want? Only negatives I found are that the place gets loud and lacks decorations, but nothing else I've found in my new 'hood can come even close to the same quality of food, so I guess I'll survive.
