Great food, a little pricey
Al forno is probably the best pasta I've had in Chicago. But for four peopleat a BYOB, a $220 bill is pretty steep. I still highly recommend it.

Finally - Great Pasta
Lived on the Gold Coast for the last 6 years and grew accostomed to Friday nights at the Spiaggia Cafe, but very happy to have found a new spot closer to home without the extravagent Tony Mantuano markup. Food as good or better across the board, BYO without corkage saves tons of money and two blocks from home - what more could I want? Only negatives I found are that the place gets loud and lacks decorations, but nothing else I've found in my new 'hood can come even close to the same quality of food, so I guess I'll survive.
