Yum!
This place is well-known for the lomo saltado, and rightly so! Saw it on Check Please, couldn't resist trying it - never having had Peruvian before. Can't rightly speak to the authenticity, but the Lomo Saltado is addictive, and everything else we tries was very good!

a real treat!
It's a small restaurant, nothing fancy or pretentious. It's everyday Peruvian food, fresh, thoughtful and reasonably priced. It's a family affair, the owner is there and makes sure everyone is cared for. Make your wishes known and they will take care of you. I find myself going back often.

Poor service
I just arrived from your restaurant and I will never go again. The food was fair the surrounding also fair but the service was not good and when the service is poor everything else simply follows. The restaurant was not busy there were two couples each with a child a man my himself and us, my husband and myself. There was only one waitress she attended the two couples with child than the man and us. She not once came to our table to ask if we needed anything else not even water. When I asked for more bread in the basket a young man began to cut more bread supplied more bread in several baskets before he brought a basket to us and my husband had to remind him. It was not worth the $40 bucks I spend.

Unusual flavorings
I tried the empanadas... they were OK. I tried the papa rellena and that is to die for. We also had the steak with rice and beans.... the steak is not a juice steak, it is sliced thin beef with a lemony taste. A little overcooked for my tasted. The rice and beans were great. The onion marinade was great and the green sauce is very spicy

little space
I have seen a lot of reviews about this place, some good, some bad, so we decided to try it. Since lately the paella has been around, i got that, plenty seafood to eat but it didn't have the special kick that the reviews are talking about, also the picture is good, but is not what i got. I don't know, things are not what it seems (i guess). Place is very small but i guess some people like it. Good service, but dishes are up high, a little too much for my wallet. Now Rios de Sudamerica is also Peruvian but has a bigger dinning area, i will try it next time.

Wonderful Peruvian Food Nuff Said!!!
My wife and I went to Taste of Peru, we had seen the restaurant on check please. This place has the best food ever. I can't wait to go back with my wife again and friends. If you live on the south side of the city like I do, Its worth it.!!!!!
