Great food, don't waste time with the fried chicken.
As a recommendation from food network, I ventured to table 52 to eat the fried chicken. It was good, but I wouldn't get it again. My husband and I started our meal by splitting a pizza...let me tell you...HOLY YUMMY! We also shared a side of Mac and cheese...again...YUMTASTIC! The point is, go to table 52 and eat. You won't be disappointed. If it's great fried chicken you're after; leave it to Colonel Sanders.

Fine dining- southern comfort style
Beloved Albert 's patsserie has now morphed itself as a fine fining establishment with celebrity chef Art Smith at the helm. The eclectic yet tastefully done ambiance pares pleasantly with seasonal + traditional southern offerings. Plenty for any palate to choose from. The lump crab cake with toasted hazelnuts and spicy mustard roumalade made for a terrific starter. Seasonal salads such as the arugula/ pear and farm goat cheese and the beet paired with blue fromage are flavorful and filling. On a summer evening try one of the vegetarian flatbreads with chanterelle mushrooms and manchego cheese. Heartier fare like pistachio chicken gets a kick from it's spicy Thai noodle accompaniment. Hummingbird cake an absolute must- addeding pecans would kick it over the top. If there is to be improvement that would be the coffee service ; served luke warm and tasted like flavored water -indulgent desserts deserve rich coffee. Other than one small quibble,Table 52 presents a fine addition to the Gold Coast dining scene.

Will be back!!
Very comfy and cozy atmosphere. Big enough for our 3-month old's stroller which was a plus. Our waiter was great...explained the dishes thoroughly and gave us great suggestions from appetizer, entree, dessert and wine!! The shrimp and grits appetizer was very tasty...I even caught myself scraping the bowl...LOL!! For dinner we shared fried chicken, catfish and mac-and-cheese. All were great but the mac-and-cheese definitely stole the show. It is easily the best I've ever tasted. We decided on the pecan pie for dessert. Another great choice! Overall, this restaurant was very pleasing. The staff us very attentive and treat you like family. One of the chefs even came out to chat with us...well maybe my cute little 3-month old daughter attracted the attention!!! :-)) Try Table 52...you won't be disappointed.

We have a winner!
So so yummy from start to finish. Service was good overall. I went yesterday - a Tuesday at 6:30. Everything went smoothly, nothing felt rushed- it was a very pleasurable experience. FOOD- The amuse bouche-as others have said were very tasty. I especially loved the goat cheese biscuit- we could not get enough of it. Started with the green tomato napoleon - was great. Entree- the pock chop- very tasty. Meat was flavorful all throughout and not just in the crust and it was well cooked. Husband had the beef tenderloin- thought the flavors were right on. Side- shared the mac & cheese. It was easily the best mac and cheese I have had the pleasure of eating in this city . Combination of fine cheeses with a browned cheddar crust. Dessert-Hummingbird cake - huge piece - very good- could use less icing. Loved my husband's dessert- Root Beer float. It was 2 root beer infused sugar cookies sandwiching vanilla gelato - WOW. It was so so good. I had food left over from every course except my app - so I just ate that for lunch today and it was great all over again. Highly reccomend for a high end southern food experience in a quaint and comforting atmosphere. Art is the man!

Best Dinner
This was one of the best meals I've ever had. We split the catfish, jambalaya, sweet potatoes (unbelievable), and the mac and cheese. I used to live in the South and this definitely tasted like authentic southern food. We couldn't stop talking about our meal that night. The decor is great too. The place is small but it works.
