omg
I came here for my cousin birthday they were closed and jay still opened his doors to us, and i must say that alone made us happy. I been to several sushi bar and the customer had never been this great. I wasnt rush or anything and mind you they were closed. And the mountain I* is what we order. And omg is all I can say... I walked out of there with the biggest smile on my face. I cant wait to go back, which will be real soon (next few days or so), best sushi bar ever...

traditional japanese sushi
we order from sushi loop about 50-60 times a year and eat at the restaurant halfish as many times a year as well...we have never been disappointed ...period.overall food quality,presentation quantity are all perfect. I own a popular venue in the west loop and see a wide range of food served to a wide variety of clients.Sushi Loop is on par with anything available anywhere.

Best sushi - period!
I've had my fair share of sushi joints. This is the best by far! Large pieces of sushi dangle over the rice. Bim Bim Bop is exceptional also. Staff is WAY friendly without being pushy. Happy hour from 5:00 - 7:00 is not to be believed. 1/2 price appetizers, salads and sake with special pricing for the fancier rolls! Visit to keep this rare find in business. I take carry out menus and put them in my building's mail area! Do the same!!!

Most underrated sushi place in the world!
I have never had a bad meal from here. The chef is the most courteous sushi maker I have ever encountered and a few of their rolls are 'to die for'...get the 'Mountain II' & the 'Creamy Tako'!

Best Sushi in Chicago - Period!
My wife and I come here once a week -- we love this place. We've taken everyone who's visited us in Chicago and they love it too. The bottom line: If you want the freshest, tastiest sushi in Chicago with very reasonable prices and an extremely friendly staff, go to Sushi Loop. They've got THE BEST sushi menu in town as well as bento boxes, udon, and even Korean BBQ!!! The diversity of the menu is fantastic...this is not your typical sushi restaurant. If you're the adventurous type, try the Blowfish Skin or Jellyfish sushi -- it's not for amateurs! Ambiance is great and it's never too crowded or loud, probably because it's in Greektown. Nevertheless, it's a definite gem!

I eat here often
The Bi Bim Bop is great. And while this place isn't where I'd necessarily want to spend an anniversary, it certainly is my choice of venue for weekly takeout. They serve generous sushi portions at reasonable prices. The food is tasty, great selection, and I really like the owners. I never write reviews but felt compelled because I saw a negative one. This place should definitely be considered your predictable stand by.

Lovely
Sushi Loop is a wonderful place to have a quiet and lovely lunch or dinner. The couple who own the restaurant are warm and friendly. The food is very tasty and reasonably priced. I am especially fond of the loop bento, a luncheon special,.
