Smokin' Woody's

I've eaten here many times since the new owners took over at the end of 2008. I had just moved to the hood and there weren't many places for lunch. Needless to say I have ended up trying almost everything on the menu. You really can't go wrong here. Huge portions, home cooking quality, just the right amount of smokey goodness, and nothing was greasy. The sauce is great, dark red in color, and manages to be tangy, sweet and a little spicy at the same time. I always go back to the Pulled Pork, and my friend says their Ribs are the best he's had anywhere. It does get kinda smokey in the restaurant at times, so you might walk out of there smelling like BBQ...not necessarily a bad thing! Also, it's BYOB so take advantage of that. What else can I say? Oh, the owners are always there, and the service is always friendly, and the food is served really fast. Highly recommend!

This is the 2nd time I have eaten at Smokin Woody's this month. I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys authentic smoked bbq, generous portions, friendly service, and quality food you can actually feel good about eating. This isn't greasy fast food, it's actually delicious fresh food that is super fast. I suggest the baby back ribs with sweet potato fries, fried green beans, and cream soda. My friend had the pulled pork with fresh cut fries. It was also delicious. I have also had the homemade chili and cornbread...thought I was in my momma's kitchen. YUM!!

Went in with the kids. Thankfully, they had a generous kid's menu. We were on our way to the Bull's game and we were running late but we needed a bite to eat before facing stadium prices so we snuck into Smokin' Woody's BBQ and had a smoked-ready pulled pork dinner platter with terrific fresh french fries and shared a generous full slab for the whole family. It was fast, delicious and a comfortable dining experience that led us into a wonderful night!

Used to be good BBQ, not it's subpar...avoid at all costs

Not bad but my family and I just went there today but we really liked the old Smokin Wood's better. Today the food just tasted different. That's all but not different as in good but different as in okay.

I recently ordered food from Smokin Woodys. The food itself was decent. However, it took nearly 2 hours for the delivery after i was quoted 45 minutes. I called at an hour and a half and the gentleman who answered the phone said... just wait and he will be there. He was rude and not customer service friendly at all.

The BBQ here is great! The atmosphere is a bit rough around the edges, but during the summer they have tables set up on the sidewalk and in the courtyard in the back. It's a great casual place to have some yummy ribs and a beer.
