Atmosphere - too small. Forest park location Service- one waiter for the entire room! and she was not friendly. Drink orders needed constant reminders. Food - Our party sat down and was immediately informed by the waiter "we're out of all the steaks". Hmmm. you had a month to figure this out? There was plenty of pork and chicken. Their signature dish "skrine chop" was thin and dry. The problem is that they slice their meats open before grilling. Why would you cut into a porkchop before grilling so all the juices fly out? Ribs were tender but the sauce tasted like it came out of a bottle; tasteless and thick like modified food starch. We went there two weeks ago on a saturday @ 7:30PM with a party of 13 hungry men. The reservation was made a month earlier leaving plenty of time to plan. The waiter announced to us (after we had been in the bar waiting for an hour) that "we've run out of STEAK". There were 3 different steak items on the menu. Big disappointment.

This food is fabulous! I love all of the meat dishes and the chopped salad (and don't usually like salads), but the Skribs and Chops - for me - are simply addictive. The mashed potatoes are my favorite side dish, but I listen to friends go nuts about the potato salad and rice sides, too. The food is a great value for the money. If you want a nice relaxing dinner with family and friends, you can hit the Forest Park location, too. It's a big place with a really cool, lodge-like interior. Lots of people and families around.

Skrine chops serves a host of fantastic grill items... ribs, ribeye sandwich ("skribeye" as they call it), ribs ("skribs"), pork chops, chicken... and delicious mashed potatoes. There is a small window-bench for eating in if you must, but food is essentially intended for pick-up. I highly recommend you check this place out!
