Sixty Five Chinese Restaurant
Posted by MU Fan on 11/21/2014
Went there for lunch today. I paid $10 (too much for a lunch specal) and I got a bowl of oil (with some chiken and beef). It is the worst Chinese (I am not sure if it is) food I have ever had.

The food here has literally no taste. Gravy is a "box mix" and the fried foods are bland and doughy, with the consistency of wet cardboard. The vegetables are tender and fresh though. I love Chinese food, but not this stuff. The value wasn't too bad, and the staff was helpful, but the food just wasn't worth it. I will not return.

There's not much to say about the quality of food because honestly I enjoy it, however their deleivery system needs a major overhaul. One day they delievered to my job which is about 3.5 block west of their 201 west Maddison location, but just two days later and every day since we've tried to have an order delievered we were told they didn't have a delivery person.

Went during lunch time, Food was fresh, the Portion size was HUGE! for a great price. Over all was worth the 5 min wait in line. Great place for take out. Dining in just seemed crowded.

I visit the restaurant at Union Station and I get irritated every time I break down and go there. Way too expensive, ok Chinese food, but the egg rolls and crab rangoon are made way ahead of time and if you get them at lunchtime the out side is hard and dry. They should have luncheon specials - $5.00. But $6.50 minimum is too much!

Seriously, I keep reading the reviews of how large the portions are and I keep scoffing. the portions are worth maybe $5, but you pay $6 and up. I've been there a handful of times but never ordered soup until today. I ordered a small Hot'n'sour then saw how SMALL it really is. So i upgraded to the large for an extra $2.15 ROUGHLY and what i got was barely one more ladle full of soup. Plus, i had to buy my own rice to go with it! If you want value, quality, and quantity for your money- go to SILK ROAD on Madison and Lasalle. They don;t have much atmosphere but their portions are WAY MORE worth the 5 or 6 dollars you spend!
