The food was refined yet aapproachable as was the staff. The view is by far the best in the entire city. Chef Lents is very talented the this place is a fine dining jewel in the food scene of Chicago.

Just recently my husband and I had dinner at Sixteen. Our expectations were high because of the pricing, glad to say we were not disappointed. We had ordered the tasting menu which includes an arrangement of multiple dishes garnished exclusively to fit a king. The portion sizes were moderate and at the end we were completely satisfied having pleased all the taste buds. I strongly recommend this rare and fantastic opportunity to indulge in an expensive but well worth dinner.

The atmosphere is the best! The food portions are small which left me hungry and the service was poor. Waited 4-ever for a lobster sandwich and then was never asked if I wanted a dessert? My date had the very small portion salmon lunch special which was given dessert and never offered another drink. Too many servers, and still poor service. Won't be going back!

I have been to every top restaurant in Chicago & my comment to the head server was Trump topped Chicago Restaurants.

Spectular view Fixed Price menu portions small Coffee a tad pricey at an additional $10.00. Food good Server needed more experience in handling a group of diners. Wouild like to go back after dark to see the view.

Sixteen was a wonderful dining experience; one of the best I've had in Chicago. The service was very nice, attentive and knowledgeable. The wine director was helpful and friendly. My friend and I each ordered apps and an entree. We split dessert. Each plate was beautifully presented and even a standard dish (my beef filet) had style and a wonderful flavor twist. It was expensive, but that was to be expected and it was worth it. Looking forward to checking out the lounge on the patio this summer!

I am amazed at this place. Pricey. Portions are microscopic. The sauces are not enough to use on the full entree. The flavors of the salmon and hiramasa were no better than what I make at home. The eggplant was fried and so thin, I could see my dinner companions through it. Literally, I picked it up and looked. The menu descriptions are much more enticing than what comes on the plate. The view is not that great.
