Food was just way off, no flavor, no spice, wont be back

The service there was poor. Our server never checked-in with us after we got our orders placed; she didn't even ask if we wanted anything else to drink besides water. We had 5 adults in our party and the 1st entree came 15 minutes after the orders were placed and before the appetizer. The 2nd entree came 10 minutes after the 1st; the 3rd entree came 15 minutes after the 2nd; the 4th entree came 10 minutes after the 3rd; and 10 minutes later came the last entree. After we had our food brought to us she didn’t even bother to check back and see if we were satisfied with the food or anything. The rice portion that came with the meal wasn’t even enough for my 3 ½ year old daughter. And yes we had to wait another 15 minutes before the server walked pass us to ask for 2 more portions of rice. If they’re trying to show what ‘horrific’ customer service experience is, they’ve done a very good job! While sitting there waiting for our food, we saw food were being brought to others table that came after us. When their food orders came from the kitchen, all the guests in their party got their food at the same time. So much for treating all their customers with respect and uniformly. Due to the delay from when the 1st entree was brought out until the last, the last person in our party to receive his food had to eat by himself because everyone else had already finished their meal and we had to sit there and wait. One of the most disappointing parts was when the server grabbed the food off the table and headed toward the kitchen when we weren’t even finished eating. We called after her but she just kept on walking and didn’t even look back to acknowledge us. She came back with the bill and told us that tip had already been included in the bill. Are you serious? Tip had been already included? I checked and there wasn’t a policy written anywhere stating that tip will be included in the final bill. Moreover, we were charged $1.50 each for the 2 extra portions of rice. Gave yourself a nice ‘fat’ tip on us after the poor service that you‘d provided us really?I will NEVER ever recommend this place to anyone; I do not want them to go through what we’d experienced. I don’t mind paying more and giving a good tip for great service but this is more along the line of forcing us to give them tip no matter what. It’s an experience to remember forever!

Don't be fooled by the outside of this place. It's a BYOB and for the price, this place is amazing. You wouldn't think that you would be able to find food this good and this cheap right off the mag mile, but it exists. Don't expect too much from service, but when we went in there it was kind of busy. Food came out quick, the crab rangoon was really good, they didn't chince out on the cream cheese, we also ordered tempura which was really good too. We ordered the red curry, usually i don't like curry, but this dish was really good, probably my favorite! we ordered beef and broccoli, which was ok, but very fresh. and we ordered the chicken pad thai, which was good and authentic. Overall, all the food was really fresh and good. I would recommend going here, and it's BYOB! Enjoy!

I agree with my son's review below. This is a no-frills, vegetarian-friendly Thai restaurant for busy weeknights. With few exceptions, I've been pleased with everything I get from here, and the price can't be beat downtown.

This is a great place to go if you are in the area and want good, no frills Thai food. The curry and noodle dishes are solid, the vegetable/tofu stir fry dishes are excellent, and the prices are unbeatable in this neighborhood. It's not a particularly special environment and the service is adequate, but for these prices, one shouldn't quibble over these things. It is great for carry-out too. They are very gracious in dealing with vegetarians and will substitute any meat with tofu. Awesome place for a good, cheap, fairly healthy meal.

I found out about this place from word of mouth and was skeptical from the out side looks, but I am so glad I tried it. It is some of the best sushi and Thai food I have ever had. I love the Pad Thai, Vegetable Supreme (which is realy spicy!!), and the veggie egg rolls and cucumber salad. Those are my regulars. The service is pretty average. They are pretty quite so if you don't like waiters that are always around poking and asking questions you will love them. They do their job well though getting what you need before you ask and cleaning off the tables.

Love the red curry chicken and curry noodles (same sauce). Delicious steamed shrimp dumplings. Can't wait to try more.
