I am sad we did not see Sepia as everyone else had. The service was borderline bad, very very slow, and inconsiderate. We even had to talk to the manager on duty for the lack very slow service. Nothing comped at our complaint. Sepia is very pretty and the layout is great making each table feel comfortable and private. The food is very pretty also, but unfortunately the taste is no better then "good". Wish I could have liked it more, the ease to get into the place and the elegance would make this a restaurant gem for us and anyone wanting a great meal out with friends. I won't say we will never be back, but we will steer clear.

My husband said he's never had a better pork chop. The pork pate with fig jam and the flat bread with bacon and bc were wonderful. While the restaurant is attractive, it's too loud for my taste. The service was competent, but not polished. The food is the draw.

Don't get me wrong, Chicago has WONDERFUL food, but none of my experiences have even come close to Sepia. They had wonderfully thought out dishes and great drinks to complement. The portions were much more practical than comparable restaurants such as Avec or Blackbird but the dishes were no less well-thought out. It's a little expensive, but worth EVERY penny. Just a head's up, get a reservation well in advance or you won't get in!!

I recently went to Sepia for the first time for lunch. What a great experience! The service was awesome and the food incredible! The ambiance is wonderful too. Can't wait to go back!!!

Who has time for such a review (see below)? BTW, the food is very good.

I visited Sepia twice and both times have been astonished by the quality of the food and the quality of the service. Both times the friends I was with commented on how great the food was and how wonderful the ambience of the restaurant was. I highly recommend this place.
