    Yahtzee!!!

So, we just moved to Irving Park and were surfing on here trying to find some take-out to bring home and enjoy with some vino ------- and we came across Semiramis..... and we're extremely grateful!! The vegetarian plate or "awesome plate" if you will, and the mixed grill were incredible and more than enough food for 2...... although we tried to find the bottom of the plate! Don't know about the atmosphere due to using the take-out option, but we will def. be going back to eat "on location". Just eat it.

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT

I dream about the falafel and the babaga...how ever you spell that. Best I have ever had, and I have tried many around the city. Also, the mixed grill is to die for. EAT HERE. you will not be sorry.

    Yeah buddy

I love this place. We usually have it delivered so don't take my service and atomosphere rating too seriously. I gave the service a 5 b/c they deliver quickly and the dude is really nice. I just went to place my order and was dissapointed that they took off the Lubeeh Bel Zeit which was super sick (in a good way). Apparently nobody was ordering it which is a shame. Anyway, their menu is small but everything is really, really tasty. Everything is really reasonalby priced and it's BYOB to boot. Those wo things in tandem add up to a cheap date. If your in the neighborhood, or even if you're not, make sure you give this place a try! It's the goodness.

    It Doesn't Get Any Better!!

Semiramis is an absolute gem when it comes to Middle Eastern (or in this case, Lebonese) food. The food itself is really fresh and beautifully prepared. Some recommendations would be the delicious Chicken Chwarma Special with pickled veggies and roasted eggplant, even better is the good old Falafel sandwich, made with delicious sauce and fresh mint leaves. If you are super hungry, the whole chicken is phenomenal and a total deal under $10. The thing I like about Semiramis is that it is a textbook restaurant in near-Haut cuisine that doesn't break your bank (much like Lula Cafe). You can go there for a dirt cheap casual lunch, or come back in the evening to try one of their dinner specials, often times something that looks and tastes as good as anything you would pay $50 for in a loop bistro. Highly recommended!!

    A great hidden gem

I just had dinner there last week and I have to say it was excellent. We had hummos, tabbouleh, and falafel as appetizers and it was a great indicator on the food to follow. I decided on the mixed grill for my entree and was not disappointed. Follow that up with lebanese coffee and baklava and I couldn't have been happier! Plus it's B.Y.O.B I will be going back soon and telling everyone to get there before the secret gets out and it becomes the new place to be. Even without alot of press we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table but believe me I would wait an hour for that meal. Relaxed but attentive service, goes with the relaxing enviroment. The only thing it was missing was candles on tables.
