absolutley wonderful
I had one of the most wonderful steaks i have ever eaten. i like my steaks well done, and the steak was still very tender & melted in my mouth. the restaurant is small and quiet (even for a friday night), which made for a more enjoyable meal. our server was ok. at the beginning of the meal she was slow and we sat for a while waiting for her to come back to take our order. the food came out quickly and was prepared correctly. we will definately go back again.

Gail and Tony nailed recipe for success
Located at the intersection of N Halsted and W Diversey, Select Cut Steakhouse is close to CTA train and bus stops. Large windows that face busy Halsted lend to a spacious feeling in the intimately seated dining rooms. An impressive wine selection is available for guests wishing to pair their meal with a delicate vino. Although I was delighted with the New York Strip, I feel that Select Cut's most outstanding dish is the simple Hot Dog. Served on a toasted, buttered french roll with condiments of preference, Gail and Tony picked exactly the right brand of dog to represent the unyielding quality that Chicagoans expect of Select Cut Steakhouse. Complete with fries, the dog is a steal at $5.00, but it doesn't appear on their menu; be sure to ask for it specifically!
