Great Italian restaurant
I thought the food was excellent and the proportions exceeded my expectations. The service was also top notch(refilling water, bread, and how's the food/do you need anything). The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. The tables were close but I didn't feel like we were sitting on top of anyone. As for cameras and invasion of privacy, I would not have even noticed the 2 cameras I spotted(1 pointed at the bar register and the other overlooking the entire restaurant) if I hadn't read that previous review.

Fantastic food, cute restaurant
I love it here! The Caprese Rigatoni is fantastic, as well as the Gnocchi in Pesto. I have yet to try a dish I have not liked. Family Style mondays are a great deal and a great way to try additional dishes. However, I was not a fan of the Butternut Squash Soup. However some of the seats are close together, but that's nothing unusual for the city.

Creepy and Uncomfortable...
I recently (last night) was visiting my daughter in Chicago and we were all looking for a cozy private place to enjoy our meal. My daughter and I were told by her friends to go to Sapori for the best food in Lincoln Park. I have to admit the food was great! I had a homemade rigatoni caprese that was really tasty! The four of us were very upset about the multiple cameras that seemed to be watching us eat. Why does a small place need to be observing me so closely while I eat calamari? Needless to say it made us all feel very uncomfortable, and ruined any feeling of privacy during our meal. Maybe the owner is concerned customers are stealing napkins or silverware, but I can't imagine returning to a place and paying that much money to feel so very invaded. Good food, Very creepy experience. -Beth

Best Italian food in Chicago
Hands down, Sappori is my favorite Italian restaurant in Chicago! The food is amazing and the prices are more than reasonable. The veal meatballs melt in your mouth and the bread pudding is to die for! Come hungry. You won't be disappointed!
