Food smells great, restaurant smells bad.
The good news: Food was delicious, better than expected. Went for the $1, $2, $3 Thursday night special. Fish tacos and empanadas were delicious. Flat iron steak (not on the $1, $2, $3 menu) was very good and well-seasoned. The bad news: Expectations were very low due to the unwelcoming store front, sketchy front door, and institutional-cleaner smell of the restaurant. Please switch your cleaning products for some lemon-scented Lysol. Please. The odor was conspicuous to say the least, and leaving the restaurant was a welcome change of atmosphere. The smell was was certainly a point of conversation throughout the night, and detracted from an otherwise outstanding meal. The inside of the restaurant was decorated nicely, however, given the lingering odor, I have to give Salud's atmosphere 1 out of 5.

BEST MOJITOS IN TOWN!!
We decided to try a new place and had heard good things about Salud, so we decided to stop in an give it a try. The food was very good, but the portions were small and there were no sides unless ordered specifically. The server should've let us know that when we ordered lobster tacos we'd only get 2 small lobster tacos!! Other than that, the food was great. The mojitos were fantastic!! Try the mango mojito, you'll be begging for more!!

Thursday nights rock at Salud in Wicker
This Wicker Park lounge has a really sexy aura, tons of hot people, great food & great service. Best part? $4 frozen margaritas and no cover every Thursday!

Best Mexican-American Food around!
Salud is just around the corner from my home. Friends and I go there all the time - their hand-made mojitos and margaritas are the BEST in the city! Servers are sooo friendly, and are very knowledgeable about Tequilas ... took a client here (tequila snob) and he was really impressed with service & selections! The food is above-and-beyond at Salud ... we prefer coming here to any of the 'chains' like Adobo Grill, etc. Any of the seafood dishes are amazing - red snapper, tilapia. Best part is their menu changes every season - so there's always something new for us to enjoy! LOVE IT AT SALUD! Nightlife there is getting hot ... with DJ's most nights. We've been staying later and later!

this place has a really really great crowd and music on Thursdays! great before and after dinner lounge!
