my mandatory pre-game meal
Whenever I'm in Chicago, visiting my beloved Wrigley Field, I always make it a point to have breakfast or lunch at the Salt & Pepper. It is a gem.

Best 50's-60's Diner in Chicago.
It is the best for the poodle skirts, bobbie sox, pigtails and booth jukeboxes. The menu is that of the teen diners of the 1950's. The cuisine is more than good. The deco is in black and white with large tiles on the floor and some glass blocks (I think). It has been many years since I ahve been there. The prices were reasonable. The location is easy to get too by foot, el or bus.
