    Mediocre

The food was ok, but sad to say the guacomole was the best of the dishes we had. The service couldn't have been worse. Errors in orders, dishes grabbed while still eating, waitress generally unavailable (had to wait for 15 minutes for the check) and rude. Lively ambiance, but overall a most unpleasant experience. We won't return.

    Bad Attitude and Raw Scallops

My friend and I went in for dinner on a Wednesday evening without a reservation. We sat at the bar and ordered appetizers. The bar tender acted as if we were inconveniencing him the whole time. Still the food had been good until this point. Then we received our bacon wrapped scallops. Both of them had a thin rim of white around the outside of the scallop and the remaining 80% was pink and completely uncooked. The menu did not indicate that they were going to be served more or less raw. We sent them back and the were returned the same scallops without cooking them any further. Then we sent them back again and the kitchen returned the same scallops but had cooked them so long that they turned into rubber. It was terrible. To make things worse, the bar tender and manager indicated that it was our own fall because we asked for them to be cooked more than the chef recommended. I have eaten scallops in many high end restaurants and they have never been served to me 80% pink. They were extremely rude to both of us and I would discourage anyone interested in having a pleasant dinner to steer clear of this place.

    Excellent upscale Mex!

This place really knows what it's doing. The menu is adventurous and everything we ordered was superb! The extensive wine list is impressive and fairly priced. The sommelier helped us find a terrific malbec from Argentina that complemented our meal. The list of premium tequilas is daunting but the servers know their stuff. Overall a 5 star experience. Can't wait to return.
