I give credit where credit is due the service is awesome but there was an imbalance between the food and service. First time here I live in SF so use to nice restaurants with great food came by due proximity to my hotel and a review I read. I am disappointed the food was alright :(

Great food. Great service. Hector was our waiter. Everyone was making sure everything was up to their standards. We had a reservation. Place was busy. A lot of food. Sides are really enough for a few people. There where a couple of big parties but it did not slow anything down. We will go there again.

For an upscale restaurant there is nothing fancy about this burger. No secret sauce, no barrel aged beer, no southern France cheese. Just a good burger made from good beef.

The best Rosebud secret: The Applewood Smoked Bacon Cheeseburger. Might I suggest a mix of Cheddar and Blue? Served on a pretzel roll. Only $12ish and enough for two! Hands down, the best I've ever had- by a long shot.

My wife and I eat dinner out 3 to 4 times a week. We live on the Gold Coast, and are walking distance to at least a dozen of the best restaurants in Chicago. While we enjoy Gibson's and Tavern on Rush, and a number of other neighborhood greats, Rosebud Steakhouse is our absolute favorite for great steaks. Tender, prime meat, perfectly cooked and expertly served, great sides that are both huge and delicious. The Chicago Tribune recently rated this restaurant's hamburger as the best in the entire Chicagoland area, but the truth is, so are the steaks. Try it. You won't just like it, you'll love it.
