1st time customers, 1st impression , lights way to bright! Went for dinner felt like lunch time, needs maybe a candle on table. Small wine glasses, bread dry, food bland. Would not go again.

We ordered the stuffed artichoke for an appetizer. It was very bland. The stuffing tasted like wet breadcrumbs. I ordered the shrimp and artichoke over pasta. The shrimp were quite large and the dish looked very good. However, the shrimp were way overcooked and rubbery. The pasta was so over cooked that it was mushy. My husband got the Veal RoSal. The pasta was overcooked and the veal dry. The server completely ignored us in favor of the regular customers. She did not once come back to check on us once the food was down. We had a very good meal here about six months ago. I was very disappointed this time. We will never go back.

I had a unforgettable experience at Rosal's last weekend. There was a confusion in reservations, and they were booked solid, however they were able to accomodate us. The owner and the entire staff know what customer service is all about. The food was out of this world. I would recommend it to everyone who wants to have a great Italian meal.

This is truly a Taylor Street "joint," and what you would expect to find in the old neighborhood... authentic Italian food with great prices. If I had to choose my favorite Italian restaurant in Chicago, this would be the place.
