Ribs were dry, cole slaw was old and oil for fryer should have been changed a week ago. May have been a good place in 1966 but not these days.

I hadn't been here for a while but was jonesing for some ribs and ordered a slab. Problems with a slab; 1. Membrane still on ribs 2. I suspect they have been boiled before being put on grill 3. Sauce is poor Now I remember why I haven't been there for a while.

My first experience was with the BBQ pork sandwich which was fine. Thought about the ribs all weekend and made it a point to stop in for them the next Monday. Very disappointing. Very tough. Little meat. At $20.00 for a slab, was very disappointed, kind of ruined my day. Asked if they were freshly smoked, said they were. I can tell reheated pork, so I somewhat believe them. I'm not a fall of the rib guy, but these were not good quality at all. I did like the sauce.

I tried the rib tips several times, all to no avail, they were all dry!... so I tried the hot links... I absolutely loved them. They slice the links thin and they are tender and spicy hot. I am not in love with the sauce being a Chicago girl, I love sweet BBQ sauce, but I substituted with another. OK portions. Sometimes the owner of the Restaurant is not friendly at all, maybe a bad day, I don't know, but it won't stop me from going back for the links... it didn't take long to get my order though.... for the links, I highly recommend!

Not health food but this stuff is great! Try ribs or rib tips or chicken. Grilled, not fried, with BBQ sauce. Follow the real wood smoke to the best BBQ in Hyde Park. See photos on the walls of local celebs, this place is pure local color.

I've been going to Rib 'N Bibs for 20 years. -I usually order the "Ranch Hand" I't great carry-out Bar-B-Que. I've never been dissappointed.

... originally, I went to Ribs 'n' Bibs to order the rib tips... I went a total of 3 times to give them a chance... I did not like the tips at all... They were dry and tough, all 3 times... I am not a fan of their sauce either, although I know that southerners like the sauce on the "sour" side (more vinegary than sweet).. I like my sauce sweet, but that would not have been a problem if the food was good because I can always substitute the sauce... That being said, I was on a mission to find something that I liked here, so for my 4th visit, I tried the hot links.... They were absolutely delicious!.... they are not served whole, but instead each link is sliced in half and they are very tender... I will go back to get some more of these... I haven't tried the chicken, that is on my to do list... the 4.0 is for the hot links... 2.0 for atmosphere because when I went the owner was there and had an attitude; I gave the service an over-all 3.5 because I think that customer service could have been better... "it doesn't hurt to smile"... Overall, I would recommend Ribs -n- Bibs... but not for the ribs... "the hot links rock!!!!"
