Our city has plenty good barbecue offerings, but it's tough to find any that really stand out. I'm glad to see a new place in my neighborhood that classes up the stereotypical view on bbq. They don't over-smoke their meats or drown them in sauce. The brisket was seasoned just right and was plenty tender. It did have a little fat on it, but that's a true Texas-style brisket. My friend got the baby back ribs and couldn't even finish them. He said they were still tender when he had the leftover for lunch the next day. Cornbread was on point and the coleslaw was fresh--none of that shredded soggy stuff. I would have like to try their beef short rib, but we went on a Thursday and they only have it available on the weekends; kind of a let down. It was a bit plain on the inside, but it has potential. Also, it's BYOB right now, which was unfortunate, but now I know to bring along a bomber of my favorite Half Acre brew next time!
