Pizza Capri in Hyde Park is "The" Pizza Capri
I love Pizza Capri. It's a place where you can enjoy light, crispy, fresh, creamy and authentic Italian food in the comfort of Hyde Park. Tuscany Chicken is the best dish!

My "default" restaurant
It is because of Pizza Capri that I have not been able to get to some of the other restaurants in Hyde Park. It's one of my favorites. The Creamy Garlic Shrimp is so flavorful and it is one of my "comfort foods". Admittedly, I have not been there as much recently and on one of my recent visits I ordered an old fav and it was not good at all. I had to send it back. It's no longer on the menu, but there's no reason it should have been so disappointing. I like the waitstaff and the atmosphere is very nice in the afternoon when it's less crowded. In spite of recent disappointment, Pizza Capri is still my fav on the South Side. Heck, I might go there for dinner this evening.

Great restaurant all around!
This is by far the best restaurant in Hyde Park. The service is great, the food is delicious, and the menu has food to satisfy all. The deep dish pizza and caprese salad are particularly good. The atmosphere can feel a little crowded when it is full, but it is still worth it. Prices are fine, a little pricy for students but worth it all the same!

Absolutely Excellent Pizza/Pasta
I've been a student in Hyde Park for two years and Pizza Capri is easily my favorite restaurant for a nice full meal and good atmosphere. Their chicago-style pizza is the best I've had, and their pasta dishes are also awesome. I've been there with groups large and small, and the service is always very helpful and accommodating. Everyone I've taken here, from parents to dates to large groups celebrating a birthday, has absolutely loved it. The only drawback is price, which especially for a student can feel high, but it is definitely worth it.

What a disapointment!
Went there on mother's day....the waiter ignored us as well as the manager for 30 minutes before we ordred...the food is overpriced and bland and after ordering...My family had to wait an hour just to get our food. They gave us 1 complimentary desssert for a family of 3 and it was a very small slice of cake...I was pissed and irritated ecspecially when I got the bill.

reliable
It may not be your grandmothers italian kitchen, but it is solid food here. Their pasta dishes are creative and tasty as well as their pizzas. Service is pretty decent as well. It is one of the few HP eateries in my regular rotation.
