    1st time deep dish

Living in NYC, we had to try some good Chicago deep dish while on vacation. Elisabeth at the Four Seasons recommended Pizano's over Lou M's, even. And it was excellent! And the drinks weren't watered down as some places do. Would definitely go back next time we're in town.

    Awesome deep dish

This is the best pizza in Chicago. As a rule of thumb, people bring their luggage with them because they either just got here or they're flying out. Clear sign of how good it is here. Awesome deep dish, light and fresh sauce, excellent service. Don't miss this place during your visit. Simply fantastic.

    the best

Food: I've only had the pizza; green pepper, mushroom, and onion, thin crust. The crust is buttery and crisp, almost as if a loving mother re-heated it in a skillet. It is the best crust. i like thin, and it is the perfect thinness. The cheese, and the added ingredients, are all of noticeably better quality than most pizzas. We took it home in the car, and could tell by the smell that green pepper was not the same green pepper we knew. They don't advertise that the toppings are organic or anything like that, but they are definitely going to some effort to get the best... Service: It was carry-out, but the the server was still crisp and courteous. The pizza was ready within two minutes of when he said it would be, and ehnsited on showingit to me to make sure it was as I wanted it...Value: Not the cheapest, maybe a buck more than it would be if they weren't paying downtown rent, but worth it, and more. Atmosphere: love it. Kind of a cross between an neighborhood Italian joint and a sports bar. High def screens where you need them, but the crowd was not looking, they were eating. A nice mix of customers who seemed much more friendly neighborhood Chicagoans than I'd expect 'almost' downtown. I plan to eat there next time.
