    Soggy

Everything about this style of pizza was great, except it was much too limp! Had a great salad. Atmosphere might be fun f you're a little tipsy, but my group of 10 could not holda conversation due to the noise (even in late afternoon). Pretty meager topping also. At $2 per topping, I'd like to see a little more. I always order light cheese, and this was very very light. Probably good for 20-30 somethings.

    Great pizza and beer!

Great thin crust pizza although it is not cheap. I've never been disappointed with the food and the beer is great. Their Sunday special is a great deal at $25 for a large 2 topping and a growler of beer.

Best Pizza I've Had In Chicago

I just moved here 6 months ago and had not yet had really good thin crust pizza. I've been to all the big deep dish joints (Gino's, Lou Malati's, etc.) and didn't really care for them, or deep dish in general. I went to Piece today randomly and was amazed. It's not cheap, but our table of 3 ordered a large "white pizza" with sliced tomatoes and it was $18.95 ($16.95 + $2.00 for the topping). We also ordered an appetizer. It ended up being 10 bucks a person with tax and tip. So on paper, it's certainly more than a by-the-slice spot, but go with a small group and it ends up being more than reasonable. The large pie was more than enough for the three of us, and I would go as far as saying it would satisfy 4 hungry people. The appetizer was a spinach tomato dip, which was above average. The restaurant advertises itself as a New Haven style pizza place. For those of you who aren't familiar with this style, it is similar to traditional pizza except it doesn't have mozzerella cheese and is liberally sprinkled with parmesan cheese. They also offer white pizza, which I ordered (made with mozz. cheese, olive oil, and garlic). The white pizza is awesome, and the traditional style also looked good. It is more of a rustic style crust. If you are looking for something different, but not gimimcky, definitely check this place out. Great bang for your buck and the food is fantastic.

    Perfectly Rustic

A bit surprised that Piece hasn't been rated yet considering its the best rustic thin crust pizza in Wicker Park. Its not the cheap at all (small $10.50, toppings $1.75) , but you get what you pay for. If you like thin, crispy, hearth baked pizza then this is it. I love mushrooms, but wished I could get them not sauteed (which also is classified as a premium topping for $2.00). Also, they're a microbrewery so you actually have to read about the beers to decide which one you'll like. But, you can never really go wrong with beer. And some have a pretty high alc %.
