ive been hooked since they had the deli by uic. the sandwiches are huge and delicious people forget about the chili which is also very good. too be honest this is one of the reason why im proud to be from chicago. traveled all over from serving in us navy, and i know this place has the best sandwhiches in the world. i even have co-workers driving up from indiana hurbor to get a taste of these meals on bread.

The sandwich quality has gone down. They need to go back to the original sandwiches.

I just came back from a disappointing lunch at Perry's Deli and I can safely said that Perry's Deli is a shell of it's former self. Gone are the pictures of Perry, his fish tank, and the rants made over the loud speaker - items that made for a unique dining experience. Perry's Deli once was a paragon of deli-iciousness - now it is no better than a sub-rate Subway. Their corned beef was bland, chewy and cold which is also a good description of the restaurant's atmosphere. Mr. Cheek's "Cha Cha Slide Song" is hardly good dining music. Large TV's that used to play movies now hang lifelessly from the walls. Perry's used to have patrons lined up out the door - now it is struggling to fill even half of its tables. The sandwiches are still large, but a larger pile of bland, cold meat does not make it any better. Perry, I wish you the best, but you should know that this current incarnation of "Perry's" is ruining your reputation.

Sandwich was huge! and it in itself was good...however, although the pickle looked like one....it didn't taste like one, and the coleslaw was sweet (the taste)...gross! We hit it right after the lunch rush so it was a tad messy. If you want a huge sandwich for less than $10.....Perry's is worth it...that's it.

This place is manifested out of a wonderful dream I had about corned beef, coleslaw and Russian dressing. It’s an amazing experience every time and is a must if you’re in the Chicago’s loop. Beware of the cell phone alarm!

When I lived in chicago i went at least twice a week, only one person was allowed to wait on me. They always did my sandwich exactly how i loved it. The tender corned beef and the zesty 1000 island, how i wish they had one in omaha. I miss the turkey broth soups, and the fresh meats. the atmosphere and all. p.s. is my picture still on the wall?
