Never Misses
We just ate out here last weekend, and I was thinking of how often we eat here and I've never written a review! The tapas at People are great. They change frequently, and are go beyond the usual tapas. They're creative and gourmet. The drinks are great. Service is always very good. The only criticism is I feel like I'm drinking non-alcoholic punch when we have the sangria. I've switched to their cocktails and find them to be just right! People is great on weeknights or weekends.

You should be on Top Chef
The food was fantastic. You can see the chefs (4) from the seating area. Very handsome. Actually saw a contestant from top chef at the bar. The reason to go here is the food. The pork was so tender and juicy (perfectly cooked) the banana ice cream with stuffed banana bread for dessert was new different and delicious!!!! Great prices very affordable. Great Sangria. Only complaint was it was not quiet. Everyone was having to much fun eating the food.

Good food, fun atmosphere
We were looking for a new tapas restaurant in the Wicker Park area and found one we will visit again. The food was great and the portions were pretty good. Loved every dish we ordered. Music was good, and everyone was having a great time. A little on the loud side though.

great food
My boyfriend and I checked out people a few months back because of the menu from this website. We were very pleased with the food, everything tasted homemade. We have since been back twice and the food has always been excellent and the service is just as good. The wait staff is attentive without being overbearing. I think that the only downfall is the atmosphere, I think it feels a little cold. I definately recommend People especially if you go for their happy hours specials, you get the same great food and save a few bucks.

Disappointing
We went with a group of 5 on a saturday night. Despite our 9:30 reservation, we weren't seated until 10:15 and didn't really receive an apology. They had a DJ there, which would have been cool, except it was really loud and he was playing cheesy songs (Jessie's Girl at a tapas bar?). I couldn't hear my friends at all. Without the noise though I liked the atmosphere, and the food was really good. Sangria very very weak and watery. It had great potential, overall disappointing

Fun, Fun, Fun....
I visited this place recently on a whim, and boy am I glad that I did. We were a group of 7, which was imcomplete at the time of arrival, yet they still managed to seat us after a few short cocktails at the bar. Our waiter, I believe his name was Fabio, was great! This guy made us feel like we owned the place. The tapas was excellent, if a little heavy on cheesey dishes. I loved the potatoes, the beef, the chicken skewers, the stuffed peppers and the fish. I will definitely visit this place everytime I'm in Chicago.

Give it time to get off the ground
Staff was very very nice, but felt busy without the crowd. Food was pretty good, better than Cafe Iberico, but much smaller selection. There was plenty of wine/sangria (sangria was yummy) from which to choose, but only what seemed a dozen different tapas. That was disappointing. My date and I were under the impression that they built the joint from a"Tapas Restaurant Kit". It was fine, but not very warm and inviting. There's a huge wall between the small dining area and bar. Jazz on Thursday night was kick ass. Hope they continue the trad. of small trios. Overall, it was good, but they felt tentative and so I did as well. I say give them a little time to get their stuff together and I think they'll rate a bit higher.
