Not Recommended
The food was not good, chicken was under fried and nothing had flavor, no kick, poorly seasoned. The decor was beautiful! I wish my experience was better. We will not return unless I hear they have corrected these issues.

Unparalled Experience
The best overall restaurant in Chicago regarding service, food and atmosphere. When was the last time you went out to eat and it felt so comfortable, enjoyable and not rushed. Where the service matched up with what you (as a customer) wanted and not what the restaurant wanted for you. I wish every other customer experience was at this level...unparalled!

Excellent
At last! Pasteur has re-opened and the wait was worth it. To begin, the ambiance of the restaurant - from the bright white painted exterior to the gorgeous interior with tiled floors, dimmed chandeliers, palms, and French music playing transported me to another time and place. We sat at the front window but any table in the restaurant would have been wonderful. We started with a nice bottle of reasonably priced French white wine and the steamed mussels. They were excellent. The creamy sauce was not so overwhelming that you couldn't also taste the wine and shallots and the mussels were very fresh. My husband ordered the Curry Beef and I order the Ginger Salmon. Both dishes came with jasmine rice on the side. And while both dishes were very good, I have to say that my husband's Curry Beef was spectacular. The combination of sweet and spicy flavors not to mention how well the beef was cooked left me with food envy. I did enjoy my Ginger Salmon, though, and will definitely be back to try everything on the menu. Welcome back, Pasteur!
