One of the best!
We're born and bred South side Chicagoans. We were in the area to attend a wake and decided to stop for dinner before going home. We set our sights on a nearby popular spot but found out that they were closed on Tuesdays. After driving a bit, we found Pasta D'Arte--and what a find! From the moment we arrived to the time we left, our experience was exceptional. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our whole dinner was excellent--soup and salad, our entree choices and dessert. Our server even offered two wines for me to taste for my entree because I couldn't decide--this was unexpected and a very pleasant experience, one I will not forget!

One of my favorites
Some of the finest, freshest Italian dishes anywhere. Always something new and interesting on "special". The wait staff is knowledgeable and professional but treats guests like family. The periodic wine dinners shouldn't be missed. A special place.

Did not enjoy sitting on the patio!!!
I have been here before and was always happy with the food and the service. Saturday night was a different story. We had a table for 5 in the patio area right next to an enormous, noisy heater. Our table was crowded next to the heater and one other table, and one of the waiters kept bumping one of our guests. (After awhile it was not funny.) Our waitress was very nice, but seemed overworked. It took forever to get refills on our drinks and coffee. As we were leaving I mentioned my concerns to the manager, and he apologized and said that they were very busy that night. I made reservations about a week before, and I don't think we should have been penalized for their having overbooked the restaurant. I did not find the patio area charming at all and even though the food was good, I will not be going back any time soon.

Great!!
very nice restaurante, with great food and attentive staff! be sure to try their grilled calamaries,and veal marsala! I've been a repeat customer for 3 years now, because of the food and atmosphere!

The most authentic Italian place
The most authentic Italian restaurant in town (una trattoria vera) with excellent food, service and overall the atmosphere.
