The Best New Restaurant in Hyde Park
What a pleasant surprise, just what was needed in the Hyde Park area! Park 52, I have dined there about three times and the food is great with a great flavor on whatever you order. There salmon special served over a bed of spinach is "to die for"! The shrimp and grits or the short ribs of beef are also very good! There desserts are also quite good. The ambiance makes for a very intimate setting and/or a small group would find it quite comfortable. For the food and service, it is fair and comparable to other like restaurants. It is definitely a favorite!

Cozy and intimate dining.
For my first time visiting this spot i was very impressed with the cozy, intimate decor. The food was suprisingly good smothered pork chops, Tallapia, and the steak were excellent. Drinks were great. But the price was kind of high. The service was fair but needs improvement. It was not crowded that evening, but i would hate to see what happens on a packed night.

Big dissapointment
The decor was great, especially for Hyde Park, so I had high hopes. It was the biggest disappointment of my life. My boyfriend and I paid $85 for one crab cake, 4 pieces of shrimp on a grit cake (we ordered shrimp and grits not what we expected) and a small piece of fish over some over-fried potato strings. Service was slow and inconsistent, the food was mediocre, but the price was exorbitant. They also forced us to pay 20% gratuity despite the poor service.
