consistently good
I always eat here when I visit Chicago! Atmosphere is quiet, staff understated but you get the service you need. I will admit it is no place to go when in a rush, but the food is worth waiting for and the staff people are kind. a winner.

Great food, poor service
Simple: the food was really good, but be in the mood to wait for everything. If you're in a rush, don't go here. If you're in a bad mood, don't go here. If you feel like getting a glass of water in a reasonable amount of time, don't go here. If you want good chinese and decent (not great) sushi then its worth the time if you have it.

Best Sesame Chicken...
Everything at Papajin is good, but the sesame chicken is unreal. Sweet chunks of crispy chicken on a bed of crunchy noodles. I can (and do with leftovers) eat for breakfast. lunch, and dinner. Delivery is quick. My only complaint is one I share with many chinese restaurants: why do they no longer include almond cookies? Keep the fortune cookies.

Just Not Worth It
you know, the food here is really not that bad. they have lots of options, and say they don't use MSG. i usually order for delivery, and every single time i ask if they can remove a simple ingredient, they say, "we're really busy here tonight." tonight when i ordered, i got, "we're really busy here tonight, and (the cooks) will probably make a mistake anyway." the man who took my order tonight was the same man who's been taking my order for years, so clearly not some random kid who doesn't care about customer service. in this day and age when people have so many food allergies, that careless attitude is not what you want to hear... especially when you're shelling out about $10/dish for standard chinese food that you could get at any chinese restaurant. i'd rather go someplace that is willing to accomodate its customers (the people who keep them in business), and isn't going to set me up for disappointment by telling me they will most likely make a mistake anyway.

My go-to chinese
I wouldn't venture into the sushi (not bad, but nothing special), but this is really good chinese. Not too breaded, great sauces, and they serve brown rice.

Great Northside Chinese
I only thought you get good chinese food in chinatown, well I was wrong. This place has a great menu. Next time I will venture into their sushi.
