Great food - Great value
If I could eat there every day I would. I moved North and still go out of my way to eat there whenever I'm in the neighborhood. Never disappointed!!

GREAT SANDWICHES!!!!
As residents who live a block away we eat at Panes often. The food is delicious and the quality is excellent. I highly reccomend the sandwiches. The popular is excellent. There are a lot of great delis in lakeview, but Panes is the best becuase of its value. You can easily walk out without spending over $7. All sandwiches are around $5!

Best Sandwiches in the City
Excellent soups and sandwiches, great prices, nice atmosphere. The homemade bread is incredible. The place is always bustling. I'm a regular here and will continue to be.

adorable place!
I really like the cozy family friendly atmosphere here... the food is very reasonable priced and there is an interesting menu, however the food seems to be missing some small piece that would make it excellent.

Great Pastas
I highly recommend one of their pastas, probably just as good if not better than a nice Italian place. They are very inexpensive (about $7.00) and come with some spectacular bread. Try the rigatoni or spicy penne, they are legendary.

Great food for Cheap
Went there yesterday and the sandwich (tuna) was tasty and cheap ($4.25 which includes bag of chips). You can pick from a variety of breads-I chose Rosemary Olive Oil bread that was so wonderful it would be great all by itself. Highly recommend this place. I will definitely be going back.
