Best Reuben sandwich in town. The BBQ pork and ribs are great. The sandwiches are excellent: they roast their own gyros meat on a spit, the ham is oven roasted on the bone for the ham and cheese sandwich, the open-faced pot roast sandwich is really great, and Friday specials of fried fish or macaroni and cheese are also favorites of mine. This is a 100% authentic Chicago diner. The decor is way past dated but that is what is so great about it. It looks exactly the way it must have many many many many years ago. The walls are covered with autographed pictures of the mayor, alderman and other politicians, Oprah, sports players and News personalities of Chicago

Reasonable prices, awesome specials, friendly staff even when it is busy. Owner is very personal and comes by to make sure you are happy with experience. Counter service and 50's type diner interior. I love the meatloaf and they have awesome bread. Their fountain drinks (coke, etc.) and meal portions aren't skimpy.

This place is old school Chicago with great diner food. Sit at the counter for a view of the grill. Highly recommend their omelettes, burgers and milkshakes. Usually you can find parking in their free lot or on the street.
